Thugs are a first era Fire melee creature. Unupgraded Thugs can be killed very easily by other first era creatures, because of their low HP and they are also not the cheapest of them. However, their Looter ability can be quite useful in gaining more power and upgraded Thugs can become quite dangerous creatures.
- As long as unit attacks a building, 40% of that building's original power costs multiplied by its current life points relative to its maximum life points are gained as power.
- Looter has been proven to work. There is no looter power gain for attacking walls, only other card played buildings.
The Looter ability grants additional power to the player that owns the unit when it attacks enemy structures that have been played out for power with cards (not walls, and not enemy buildings in Player vs Environment games). The formula for power gained is:
Where K is some constant value; Thugs and Strikers have a K of 0.4, and both cards increase to 0.45 and 0.50 for Upgrade I and II, respectively.
|Thugs I||Fire||Encounters with Twilight||Standard|||
|Card Upgrade||Type or Ability||Effect|
|Thugs I||Looter||+5% power gain|
|Thugs II||Looter||+5% power gain|
|Thugs III||Looter||+5% power gain|
